Pre-Market: 9:15am

Slight Gap-down opening is expected in our markets today, following
mixed global cues; Yesterday, the Nifty gave us a 100+ rise backed by
positive global cues after good Infosys results in the previous session;
In the US, the S&P 500 index dropped to 1,819.20, the biggest decline
for the index since Nov7 After surging almost 30% last year; Meanwhile,
Asian markets have opened on a tepid note following a sell-off in
Wall Street; Asian markets are witnessing profit booking with Japan
the worst hit; Back home, CPI inflation for the month of December has
eased to 3-month low at 9.87% against 11.16% in November; This is very
good news and better than the 10% expected; WPI inflation will come out
today; The market is expecting a 25bp increase in the Repo rate from RBI
in the near to medium term; Quarterly result season is underway and
some better-than-expected Q3 figures are to come; For the Nifty, 6250
is now the first Support level, with 6200 as Strong Support below that;
On the upside, there will be strong Resistance at 6300 today; India's
currency, debt and money markets are closed for a public holiday
today; We expect quiet and choppy trading around the line for
the most part today; As always, watchout for sudden
downsides at every step; Follow specific stocks;
Be patient and choosy; Act quickly when you
see a good chance; Take small profits,
and exit; Repeat, if possible;
INR-US$ is at 61.4700; WTI Crude is at $91.80

ALERT-2: 11:00am

Nifty has remained flat and quiet around 6270 since our last
Update; In the red; In the meantime, no Suggest could give any
profit in LONG following the levels we had given today; At this time,
APOLLOTYRE>119 ITC>329 look good for profits in LONG if market turns
up and upsurge comes with volumes; Most of the Asian markets are in the
red now, with Japan over -3% down; The Rupee is still holding at 61.4700;
As we said many times before, this kind of flat and unpredictable market is
not very conducive for Intraday Trading; Some downside might come now;
Be very careful if you want to get in now for LONG; Exit quickly with
small profits; Stay Away if you are uncertain.

SMS-3

14Jan(12:30) Mkt in red; Flat; No Suggest gave profit;
Watch APOLLOTYRE>119 DLF>159.50 UCOBANK>77.50

ALERT-3: 12:30pm

Nifty has remained flat and quiet in the 6250-6260 range after
coming down from 6270-level where the Nifty was at the time of our
last Update; Going quiet and choppy in the red; Meanwhile, none of
our Suggests could give any profits in LONG following the levels
we have given today; At this time, APOLLOTYRE>119 DLF>159.50
UCOBANK>77.50 look good for LONG if market turns up and upsurge
comes; Asian markets are still mostly red; Europe is also expected
to open mostly red; The Rupee is steady at 61.4700; For our
market, there is Support for the Nifty at 6240-6250 which should
hold; Resistance has been found at 6280-6300 as expected; More
range-bound and risky markets with slight negative bias is
expected; Do not take unnecessary risks; Do not force
anything; No profit today is better than going
into loss; Best to Stay Away now.

SMS-4

14Jan(2:30) Mkt in red; Flat; No Suggest gave profit;
AMBUJACEM>169.50 DLF>159 UCOBANK>77 good for LONG
if upsurge comes in last hour; Careful; See Site -INTDAY

ALERT-4: 2:30pm

The Nifty has come down further to 6240-level from the 6260-level
after our last Update; However, the slight negative bias we saw last
time, is no longer visible and the Support at 6240 has been able to
hold the slide of the Nifty; Meanwhile, none of our Suggests could
give any profits in LONG following our levels given in the last
Update; At this time, AMBUJACEM>169.50 DLF>159 UCOBANK>77
look good for profits in LONG if upsurge comes now in the last hour;
Global cues are not supportive; Almost all markets in Asia and Europe
are in the red; However, the Rupee is still holding at 61.5100; We
feel that the Nifty Support of 6240 will hold for the day and we
might see an attempt to close above the Resistance of 6260
today, like yesterday; Remember, profit-booking fall at such high
levels can start off anytime; Do not take unnecessary risks in
last hour; Do not force anything; Going without profit is
better than getting into loss; Today we will close red.

About the profit figures shown in these pages:
  • Time of BUY/SELL is shown in HHMM format. For example, 1025 means 10:25am; similarly 1439 means 14:39 hours or 2:39pm. These are approximate figures.
  • If a Suggest is mentioned in our Alerts, together with StopLoss and Targets, profit/loss will be shown only if the "See Above" ( > ) figure is crossed and reasonable profits or losses are generated. It is not necessary that Target figures are reached.
  • Once a See Above ( > ) figure is mentioned, we do not show a profit or loss in these pages unless this "trigger" is reached. "NIL" profit is reported if the trigger is not reached at all. If there is profit to be gained outside triggers, these are mentioned in our Alerts.
  • If any Suggest is not mentioned in our Alerts at all at any time throughout the day, "NIL" profit is reported for that Suggest. These do not give any opportunity as per our PricePoints either.
  • "MARGINAL" means that this Suggest neither gave any substantial profit, nor did it put a member into a serious loss situation — if you bought above the indicated level as per our Alert, there was ample chance to get out around that level later on, after you realise that prices are not going up. It can also mean that you should not have entered into this scrip in the first place, because of external circumstances.
  • Once a See Above ( > ) trigger point is mentioned for any Suggest, PricePoints for that Suggest are NOT to be followed any longer. Instead, you have to follow the levels given in our Alerts.

  5. 'Approx. Profit per Share' is cumulative of all entries.
