NIFTY Support levels are: 6200, 6170, 6150, 6120, 6080;

Pre-Market: 9:15am

Another Gap-up opening is expected in our markets today, following
good global cues and a US Federal Reserve commitment to low rates
offset a long-dreaded decision to taper stimulus; Yesterday, our own
RBI sprang a surprise by maintaining status quo on all policy rates
despite the increase in both the WPI and CPI inflation for November
while the markets were factoring in a rate hike of atleast 25 bps;
Reacting to the policy decision by the RBI, the Nifty snapped its
six-day fall and rallied nearly 100 points in trade to scale past its
crucial level of 6200; Overnight, US stocks ended at all-time closing
highs after the Federal Reserve announced it would start to unwind
its historic stimulus by cutting its monthly bond purchases to $75
billion from $85 billion, but left its target interest rate near zero for
"at least as long as" unemployment exceeds 6.5%; Asian markets
were trading higher after the US Fed announcement; At home, most
experts are of the view that the hint of tapering at the FOMC meet
will lead to some correction in our markets; But at the end of the
week we should re-gain 6250-6300 levels; Even now, Nifty-6220
remains a strong Resistance on the upside; 6150-6130 are still
strong Support; The Rupee is seen to weaken a bit and should
be watched to see if it can hold 61-levels; As before, be careful
about sudden down movements at every step; Follow specific
stocks; Be patient and choosy; Act quickly when you
see an opportunity; Take small profits, exit;
Repeat, if possible;
INR-US$ is at 62.3100; WTI Crude is at $97.80

19Dec(11:00) Mkt -ve & flat; DISHMAN gave profit; Hold
DISHMAN>98 if in; Watch BHEL>162 TATAPOWER>91
AMBUJACEM>179.50 if mkt turns up now; See Site -INTDAY

ALERT-2: 11:00am

Nifty has remained flat and choppy in the 6155-6180 band
after our last Update, exactly like we had yesterday; Support
of 6150 has again come into play; Meanwhile, DISHMAN could
give small profits in LONG following the levels we gave in our
last Update; DISHMAN should have been in at 98 and out at
98.80; If you are still in, Hold DISHMAN>98 with a StopLoss
of 95; Watch BHEL>162 TATAPOWER>91 AMBUJACEM>179.50
if market turns up now; Asian markets are all in the green with
Japan over +1.6% in the green; The Rupee continues to remain
above 61 and is at 65.4520 now; Our market should give a positive
pull-out and try to go above 6200, we feel; Be careful in a falling
market and wait for a proper chance if you want to play in LONG;
Look at specific stocks only; Get in when you are sure; Exit
with minimum profits; Stay Away if you are uncertain.

SMS-3

19Dec(12:30) Mkt in red; Going Flat; None gave profit; Watch
TATAPOWER>91 DLF>158.50 if mkt turns up; Others are
stuck; Await Europe openng; See Site -INTDAY

ALERT-3: 12:30pm

Nifty has remained very quiet and very flat in the red since our
last Update; The upward swing, as we had expected in our last Update,
has not come as yet, but a slight positive trend seems to be developing
now; Nifty around 6175, up from fluctuating around the 6160-area;
Meanwhile, none of our Suggests could give any profits in LONG
following the levels we had given in the last Update; At this time,
TATAPOWER>91 DLF>158.50 look good for profits in LONG if market
turns up; BHEL-161 ORIENTBANK-212 AMBUJACEM-178 DISHMAN-97
are stuck now at the levels shown; All Suggests are good for profits
in LONG if market turns up and upsurge comes with volumes; Asian
markets are trading in the green; Europe is also expected to open
mostly in the green; The Rupee continues to remain weak and is at
62.3020 now; Our market fell sharply on news that US Fed will taper
its bond buying programme, but has now realised that it won't affect
our market all that much; In any case, the slight change announced has
already been factored in by most markets worldwide; As we had feared
yesterday, the sharp rise has now been negated by an equally sharp fall;
We now expect our market to rise slowly towards 6200; Be careful if
want to get in now; Get in now only if you are sure; Exit with
small profits; Do not take unnecessary big risks; It is
best to Stay Away now if you are not confident.

SMS-4

19Dec(2:30) Mkt in red; +ve bias; BHEL ORIENTBANK
DISHMAN DLF gave profit; All 4 good for more profits
in LONG in last hour if upsurge holds; See Site -INTDAY

ALERT-4: 2:30pm

The slight positive trend we saw in the Nifty at the last Update is
still to be seen, but it has remained weak and has not been able
to take the Nifty to 6200 as yet; Nifty just short of 6200 now; Has
flattened around 6190, coming up from 6160; Meanwhile, 4 of our
Suggests have been able to give some profits in LONG following the
levels we had given; BHEL should have been in at 162 and out at 166;
ORIENTBANK should have been in at 213 and out at 214.50; DISHMAN
should have been out at 99; DLF should have been in at 158.50 and
out at 159.40; All four Suggests are still good for more profits in
LONG if upsurge holds in last hour; Asian markets are closing mostly
green; Europe is trading all in the green; The Rupee has strengthened
a bit and is at 62.2090 now; For our market, now there are no more
triggers left; It will be difficult for our markets to avoid some profit
booking now that the main events are over; Although we still feel
the Nifty will make an effort to close above 6200, some downside
might come now; Be very careful if you want to get in fresh in
LONG now; Do not get into unnecessary risks in last hour;
Best to Stay Away now if you are already
in profit; Today we will close red.

About the profit figures shown in these pages:
  • Time of BUY/SELL is shown in HHMM format. For example, 1025 means 10:25am; similarly 1439 means 14:39 hours or 2:39pm. These are approximate figures.
  • If a Suggest is mentioned in our Alerts, together with StopLoss and Targets, profit/loss will be shown only if the "See Above" ( > ) figure is crossed and reasonable profits or losses are generated. It is not necessary that Target figures are reached.
  • Once a See Above ( > ) figure is mentioned, we do not show a profit or loss in these pages unless this "trigger" is reached. "NIL" profit is reported if the trigger is not reached at all. If there is profit to be gained outside triggers, these are mentioned in our Alerts.
  • If any Suggest is not mentioned in our Alerts at all at any time throughout the day, "NIL" profit is reported for that Suggest. These do not give any opportunity as per our PricePoints either.
  • "MARGINAL" means that this Suggest neither gave any substantial profit, nor did it put a member into a serious loss situation — if you bought above the indicated level as per our Alert, there was ample chance to get out around that level later on, after you realise that prices are not going up. It can also mean that you should not have entered into this scrip in the first place, because of external circumstances.
  • Once a See Above ( > ) trigger point is mentioned for any Suggest, PricePoints for that Suggest are NOT to be followed any longer. Instead, you have to follow the levels given in our Alerts.
