Pre-Market: 9:00am

Our market is expected to open higher today tracking
positive Asian markets; The Nifty rose for a second
consecutive session yesterday, led by gains in select
scrips; Overnight, US stocks ended mixed after the S&P
500 index briefly hit its highest intraday level since
November 2007; Markets in China and Taiwan remain shut
for the Lunar New Year holiday but Hong Kong resumes
trading today; Asian shares trading cautiously ahead
of the G20 central bank meeting over the weekend;
At home, SBI and Tata Motors will give Q3 results
today; On the economic front, investors will watch
WPI data for January; Although the wholesale inflation
index is expected to ease to a three-year low of 6.8%,
it would still remain well above the RBI's comfort
zone of around 5% to warrant a rate cut; No other
triggers except upcoming Union Budget;
INR-US$ is at 53.8580; WTI Crude is at $97.13;

NIFTY Resistance levels today are: 5940, 5960, 5980, 6010, 6050;
NIFTY Support levels are at: 5925, 5900, 5880, 5840, 5800;

Flat opening and cautious trading expected at the start
today; Yesterday, the Nifty had made a second 5900+
closing above the 5925 Resistance level; But there
were sustained profit booking throughout the day
and the Nifty was pulled down from an intraday high
of 5970; Technically, Nifty holds on to its long term
support level of 5900; The expected bounce back is
now in place but it may be difficult for Nifty to surpass
the resistance range of 5980-6000; If WPI and Q3 results
disappoint today, we might go back to the 5900-level;
For Intraday Trade in LONG today: Less movement will be
seen today; There will be more of range-bound trading till
we get some trigger; Like always, be quick to take action;
Be choosy and stock specific; Study all technical data
before you commit your money; Do not follow our Alerts
blindly; Do not take big risks; Take small profits
and exit; Repeat; Stay Away if not sure.

SMS-3

14Feb(12:30) Mkt in red; Going down; IDFC gave profit;
COALINDIA was Marginal; None look good for LONG now;
Await Europe openng; See Site -INTDAY

ALERT-3: 12:30pm

NIFTY has done a see-saw from 5910 up to 5940 and
then down to 5900 since our last Update; Going down
now; IDFC could give small profits as per our last Alert;
IDFC should have been in at 155.5 and out at 157;
COALINDIA was Marginal if you have entered at 352
as per our last Alert; No Suggest looks good now;
All can give profits if market turns up and upsurge
comes with increased volume; Get in only if you are
confident and convinced; Otherwise, Stay Away.

NIFTY around 5910 now; Slight negative trend continues
after a break due to good inflation figures; Market has now
understood that such WPI numbers will not satisfy RBI for
a rate cut and the slide has resumed; Support of 5900
has held and is still in effect; Next Support is at 5880;
First Resistance is still at 5940; Next Resistance is
at 5960; Asian markets are mostly in the green; Europe
is expected to open mixed; We do not see much downside
from here; NIFTY should be able to hold 5900-level unless
we get some bad news; In fact, we expect some buying
to come in after Europe opens; For Intraday in LONG: Be
careful and don't get carried away by sudden upsides in
the market; Be stock specific; Wait for your chance;

SMS-4

14Feb(2:30) Mkt in red; Flat; PETRONET gave slight profit;
BHARTIARTL>316 PETRONET>150.50 good for LONG if
upsurge comes in last hour; See Site -INTDAY

ALERT-4: 2:30pm

NIFTY has kept within the 5905-5925 range since the last
Update; Going flat now; PETRONET gave slight profit since
the last Alert; PETRONET should have been in at 149.50
and out at 150.50; BHARTIARTL>316 PETRONET>150.50
good for LONG now if upsurge comes in last hour with
good volumes; Careful... Intraday trading in such
uncertain markets so late in the day can be risky;
Stay Away if not sure.

NIFTY around 5910 now; Has been around this mark since
about 12:30pm; Support of 5900 is still holding, as we
had expected; Next Support is at 5880; First Resistance
is now at 5925; Next Resistance is still at 5940; Asian
markets are closing mostly in the green; Europe had opened
in the red but most are now on the line or already in green;
For our market, this will have no effect; Support of 5900
may not hold for long; The buying upsurge we had expected
late in the day has not happened as yet, and may not happen
today; A negative closing for NIFTY is now certain, and some
big downsides are also possible if we get some bad news;
You have to be extra careful if you want to get in now;
Best to Stay Away and not risk profits already made;
Today we will close red.

About the profit figures shown in these pages:
  • Time of BUY/SELL is shown in HHMM format. For example, 1025 means 10:25am; similarly 1439 means 14:39 hours or 2:39pm. These are approximate figures.
  • If a Suggest is mentioned in our Alerts, together with StopLoss and Targets, profit will be shown only if the 'See Above' figure is crossed positively and reasonable profits are generated. It is not necessary that Target figures are reached.
  • Once a See Above ( > ) figure is mentioned, we do not show a profit in these pages unless this figure is crossed positively. "Stay Away" is reported even if there is profit to be gained from this Suggest.
  • "Stay Away" is also reported for any Suggest that is not mentioned in our Alert which also does not give any opportunity as per our PricePoints.
  • "MARGINAL" means that this Suggest neither gave any substantial profit, nor did it put a member into a loss situation — if you bought above the indicated level as per our Alert, there was ample chance to get out around that level later on after you realise that prices are not going up. It can also mean that you should not have entered into this scrip in the first place, because of external circumstances.
  • Profit shown for any Suggest that is not mentioned in any Alert is as per our PricePoints. Reasonable profits will have to be generated — it is not necessary that any exact PricePoints are reached.

  4. 'No. of Shares Traded' is calculated on 15k investment and 4x exposure (15000x4=60000) normally allowed by online brokering houses for intraday trading.
  5. 'Approx. Profit per Share' is cumulative of all entries.
