  • The markets closed flat today with realty, auto and power being the worst performers. Capital goods and oil & gas, too, lost significantly while healthcare, FMCG and consumer durables closed positive. The Sensex closed at 17105, up 2 points from its previous close, and the Nifty shut shop at 5193, down 4 points.

  • The top Nifty gainers today were Wipro, Dr Reddy's, ITC and Sun Pharma while the biggest losers included Reliance Infra, BPCL, Bajaj Auto and Axis Bank.

  • Hold long positions in Nifty with a stop loss of 5150, says V Sundar Raja, technical analyst, on NDTV Profit. The market is likely to trade sideways for some more time, he adds.

  • The Nifty is near its long-term point of 200 DEMA, says Sarvendra Srivastav, technical analyst, on NDTV Profit. There is support at 5160-5190 with resistance at 5260-5270, he adds.

  • The market will continue to be rangebound for the next few days with support at 5150 and resistance at 5270-5300, says Mitesh Thacker, technical analyst, on ET Now.

  • There is good support for Nifty at 5150-5200 from where it will keep bouncing back, says Ashwani Gujral, technical analyst, on ET Now. Market will continue to be in the range of 5150-5350, he adds.
